When preparing for your professional headshot photography session, choose clothing that makes you look and feel confident and professional. Here are our expert recommendations:

• Avoid clothing with busy patterns or loud colors that can distract from your face
• Choose solid colors that complement your skin tone and make you feel great
• Wear attire appropriate for your industry (suit for corporate, casual for creative fields)
• Avoid logos or visible branding
• Ensure clothing is clean, pressed, and wrinkle-free
• Bring 2-3 outfit options to give yourself choices

The most important thing is to choose clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident—this will show in your headshots!

For the best results in your professional headshots, we recommend natural-looking makeup that enhances your features without being heavy. Heavy makeup can look unnatural in professional photography and may create unwanted shine or glare. Our general guideline is to wear slightly more than your everyday makeup, but less than evening makeup. This ensures you look polished and professional while still looking like yourself. If you're unsure, our photographers can provide guidance during your session at our Hartville studio.

A composite group photo is a professional technique where we photograph each team member individually with consistent lighting, pose, and background, then digitally combine them into a single cohesive group image. This is perfect for Akron and Canton businesses because:

• You never need to get the entire team together again for photos
• New team members can be added seamlessly with a 15-minute session
• Departing employees can be removed without reshooting
• Everyone looks their best (no one blinking or looking away)
• Perfect for growing companies in Northeast Ohio

We photograph each person from the head down to just above the knees (3/4 shot), ensuring consistency across all team members for a professional, polished final result.
